At the prestigious Venice Biennale, LOOTY as part of the Special Projects, Laboratory of the Future, aimed to challenge the conventional museum institution. This project questioned the accuracy of artifacts’ representation within museum spaces and pondered whether museums should be the exclusive repositories of history. LOOTY seized the opportunity to leverage AR/VR technology to address decarbonisation and decolonisation, providing a digital alternative for memorializing history. LOOTY’s transformative showcase at the Venice Biennale challenged norms, reshaping art, technology, and heritage discourse. The mobile experience and digital repatriation showcased LOOTY as an innovative leader, paving the way for a more accessible commemoration of our collective history.
