// ABOUT US

Founded in 2021 by Chidi Nwaubani, LOOTY is a dynamic blend of creativity and technology, primarily focused on rewriting cultural ownership narratives. We use innovative art and technology to reclaim stolen artworks and spark conversations about colonialism's impact, fostering repatriation. Beyond exhibits, LOOTY creates bespoke 3D experiences, enhancing access and education. We believe culture is a continuous dialogue, embracing disruption to empower innovation. LOOTY envisions a future where art, tech, and imagination unite, ensuring stolen legacies return home and building a more just future.

Mission Statement

We are the vanguard of a digital revolution, wielding technology as both shield and paintbrush. The LOOTY Museum rises to challenge the legacy of colonial theft, using 3D printing, augmented reality, and open-source platforms to resurrect stolen artifacts and ignite urgent conversations about cultural justice. We are not passive keepers of history — we are its rewriters. Our installations are not mere exhibits; they are portals where visitors become co-creators, confronting the stories behind looted treasures and envisioning new futures. We reject the old guard. We champion transparency, collaboration, and the right of every culture to shape its own legacy.
