Ogene MIDI takes an Honorary Mention at the London Design Biennale 2025

This year LOOTY brought Ogene MIDI to the London Design Biennale — a participatory instrument that translates the rhythm of the Igbo Ogene into a shared, generative performance.

Visitors stepped onto the floor pads and, together, became the ensemble. The piece was awarded an Honorary Mention, and the conversations it sparked about whose rituals get archived — and how — were the real prize.
